The differences in the characteristics of different materials of denim directly determine the different maintenance priorities.

The core conclusion is that pure cotton denim is highly resistant to shrinkage and fading, denim with elastic fibers (spandex) is highly protective and elastic, and blended (Tencel/Modal) denim is highly resistant to deformation. Targeted maintenance is necessary to balance longevity and texture.

Key points for maintaining denim clothing made of different materials

1、 Pure cotton denim (with a cotton content of over 95% and no elasticity)

The core characteristics of the fabric are crisp, clear patterns, easy shrinkage and fading, and strong wear resistance.

Maintenance points 1 Washing: Use cold water below 30 ℃, hand wash or machine wash in gentle mode, flip over to reduce fading, and avoid prolonged soaking (no more than 20 minutes). two Shrinkage prevention: For the first wash, add a small amount of white vinegar (5 liters of water and 50 milliliters), flatten the pattern after washing, and then air dry to reduce the probability of shrinkage. three Storage: When hanging, use a wide shoulder hanger to support the waist and avoid stretching the pant legs; Long term storage can be folded to reduce wrinkles.

2、 Elastic denim (including spandex 2% -5%)

The core characteristics include elasticity and a snug fit, while spandex is prone to aging, high temperature resistance, and strong pulling.

Maintenance points 1 Washing: The water temperature should not exceed 30 ℃, and neutral detergent should be used. The washing time should be controlled within 10-15 minutes to avoid twisting forcefully (to prevent spandex breakage). two Drying and drying: Flip over and dry in a cool and ventilated manner. Do not use high temperature drying (temperatures above 50 ℃ can cause spandex to lose elasticity). Natural drying is the best option. three Wearing and storage: Avoid prolonged tight wearing (to reduce spandex fatigue), do not fold or squeeze the elastic parts during storage, and hang to better maintain the shape.

3、 Blended denim (including Tencel/Modal/Linen with 30% or more)

Core characteristics: Soft and skin friendly, good breathability, poor wrinkle resistance, easy deformation and fuzzing.

Maintenance points 1 Washing: Hand washing is preferred, machine washing should be placed in a laundry bag, select "gentle mode", and disable using a hard bristled brush to prevent pilling. two Drying: Lay it flat or hang it with a clip around the waist to avoid stretching the fabric and causing deformation. It can be dried in the shade without the need for direct sunlight. three Care: After washing, gently iron (at a temperature below 110 ℃, use a cushion cloth for ironing) to restore flatness; Avoid friction with rough objects and reduce pilling.

4、 Splicing denim (splicing different materials, such as denim+leather/knitting)

The core characteristics are diverse in style, and the washability of different materials varies greatly, which can easily lead to glue cracking and uneven fading at the joints.

Maintenance points 1 Washing: Check the washing label and prioritize local cleaning. If a whole piece needs to be washed, gently hand wash with cold water to avoid excessive friction at the joints. two Care: Do not apply detergent directly to the leather joint area, wipe it with a damp cloth; Avoid pulling at the knitted joints to prevent thread detachment. three Storage: Hang separately to prevent the splicing parts from being squeezed and rubbed by other clothing, and keep away from damp environments (to prevent leather from getting moldy and knitting from getting damp).
