40000Mbps (40Gbps) Network Patch Cord

The 40000Mbps (40 Gigabits per second) network patch cord stands as the pinnacle of copper-based networking, engineered to meet the extreme, data-intensive needs of hyperscale data centers, HPC (High-Performance Computing) facilities, and advanced AI research labs. In scenarios where even 10Gbps is insufficientsuch as real-time processing of petabytes of sensor data, training large language models (LLMs), or powering 16K video distribution networksthis cord delivers a staggering 40Gbps, making it the fastest copper-based solution available for short-haul connections. Unlike fiber optic cables that require expensive transceivers and specialized handling, 40000Mbps copper cords leverage existing RJ45 infrastructure, offering a cost-effective alternative for ultra-high-speed, short-distance links (up to 30 meters).

Built to Cat8 or Cat8.2 specifications, the 40000Mbps patch cord features four twisted copper pairs with an extra-thick 22AWG gauge and an extremely tight twist rate (TPI: 3035). This aggressive twisting pattern, paired with a triple-shielded design (S/FTP: Screened/Foil Twisted Pair with an additional outer shield), eliminates virtually all interference: inner foil shielding blocks crosstalk between pairs, a middle braided shield deflects external EMI/RFI, and an outer metal foil or braid provides an extra layer of protection. This is critical in hyperscale data centers, where thousands of cables operate in close proximity, and even minor interference can disrupt 40Gbps signals. The copper conductors are crafted from ultra-high-purity oxygen-free copper (OFC) or silver-plated copper, minimizing signal attenuation to 4.0 dB at 2000 MHz and ensuring consistent 40Gbps performance over the full 30-meter range.

The outer jacket is a rugged, industrial-grade LSZH material that meets the strictest fire safety standards (UL 94 V-0, IEC 60332-1) and is resistant to extreme temperatures (-40°C to 85°C), oil, moisture, and physical impact. This makes it suitable for the harsh conditions of hyperscale data centers, where cables are exposed to constant airflow, frequent maintenance, and potential damage from heavy equipment. Connectors are precision-engineered, shielded RJ45 with 24K gold-plated contacts and a solid metal housing, designed to maintain the cords shielding integrity and ensure zero signal loss at the connection point. These connectors are backward-compatible with lower-category cords (Cat6/Cat6a/Cat7), allowing data centers to upgrade gradually without replacing existing switches or patch panels.

Compliant with international standards including TIA/EIA-568-C.2-1 and ISO/IEC 11801-1:2017, the 40000Mbps patch cord is compatible with 40GBASE-T switches, transceivers, and HPC nodes. It is available in short lengths (130 meters) optimized for rack-to-rack or node-to-node runs and color-coded (typically black or dark gray) for easy identification in high-density environments. For organizations pushing the boundaries of digital innovation, the 40000Mbps network patch cord is more than a cableits a critical enabler of next-gen technology, delivering the speed and reliability needed to turn complex data into actionable insights.
