  At its core, this loopback cord uses 9/125um single-mode fiber, which mimics the performance of operational single-mode networks. It supports the same long-distance capabilities (up to 100 km+ transmission) and high data rates (10 Gbps to 100 Gbps) as standard single-mode patch cords, ensuring accurate testing for devices intended for long-haul applications like telecom backbones or campus networks.   The LC-LC connector design is critical for testing compatibility with LC-enabled devices—the most common interface in modern single-mode hardware.
